Overview

Business, Accounting and Financial Studies (BAFS) is a senior secondary subject that builds students’ fundamental knowledge of how businesses operate and how financial information supports sound decision-making. Drawing on accounting, finance, and business management topics, the course equips students with a deepened understanding of their roles as consumers, future investors, and potential entrepreneurs. Through real-life case studies and an inquiry approach, students learn to ask relevant questions, gather and analyse information, and make reasoned, ethical judgments, for example a unit in Grade 11 allows students to . The subject helps strengthen students’ research, analytical, leadership, teamwork, communication, critical thinking, creativity, and problem solving skills. It also equips students to transfer these skills across different domains and prepares them for further studies.
