Junior Secondary (G7 – G9)

The junior curriculum focuses on building fluency and establishing strong reading habits through a holistic, literature-based approach.

Senior Secondary (G10 – G12)

Students choose between two specialised pathways depending on their academic goals.

1. HKDSE Pathway

Focuses on broadening language competencies for academic and professional success within the local framework.

  • Strands: Interpersonal, Knowledge, and Experience.
  • Content: Integration of Language Arts (pop culture/literature) and Non-Language Arts (social issues).
  • Skills: Enhancing the four language skills alongside critical thinking and values education.

2. GCE A-Level Pathway (IELTS-focused)

A targeted course designed to prepare students for the IELTS Academic test, recognised by global universities.

Module Focus Areas
Academic Reading Skimming, scanning, and distinguishing main ideas from supporting details.
Academic Writing Describing data (graphs/charts) and constructing formal argumentative essays.
Listening Understanding diverse question types and identifying synonyms/keywords.
Speaking Improving fluency, coherence, and lexical resource through justified opinions.
