Integrated Humanities

Overview

Integrated Humanities (IH) is a junior-grade subject under the Key Learning Area of Personal, Social and Humanities Education (PSHE). It brings together elements of Geography and History to help students understand how people, places, and societies are connected across time and space. Through an issue-enquiry approach, students explore real-life topics and develop core skills such as asking questions, gathering and interpreting information, and making reasoned judgments. Students also learn to think critically and develop higher-order thinking by comparing different viewpoints and using evidence.

Curriculum

Our curriculum supports learning both in the classroom and through guided activities such as mini-tasks, discussions, and investigations. Through an enquiry-based approach and by incorporating current affairs, everyday examples, and global scenarios, our teaching and learning activities are highly interactive, engaging, and flexible. Students build a global perspective, strengthen their understanding of their rights and responsibilities in society and the environment, and develop positive attitudes toward learning and respectful interaction with others.
