National Security Education
At Hong Kong Baptist University Affiliated School Wong Kam Fai Secondary and Primary School, we have adopted a comprehensive and strategic approach to cultivating students' understanding of national security, the Basic Law, and national education. Since the 2022/23 academic year, our school has fully implemented administrative and educational measures aligned with the Education Bureau's directives. A dedicated coordinator from the school's leadership team oversees planning and execution, ensuring that national security education permeates all aspects of school life — from curriculum design and teaching resources to student support, parent engagement, and campus management.
We emphasize a whole-school participation model, where teachers, students, parents, and external partners collaborate to foster a safe, orderly, and patriotic learning environment. Through regular monitoring of teaching materials, campus facilities, and external activities, we safeguard against inappropriate content or influences. Our school also integrates national symbols and rituals — such as flag-raising ceremonies and national anthem singing — into daily routines, reinforcing respect for constitutional order and national identity.
Our curriculum is carefully aligned with the Hong Kong National Security Education Curriculum Framework (2025) and the 27 subject-specific frameworks, ensuring that national security concepts are naturally embedded across disciplines. Students engage with the 2026 White Paper on "One Country, Two Systems", alongside lessons on the Constitution, Basic Law, and the Hong Kong National Security Law, deepening their awareness of civic responsibility and legal obligations.
Beyond the classroom, we organize diverse learning experiences — museum visits, mainland exchange programs, competitions, and commemorative events — to strengthen students' historical consciousness and sense of belonging. Teachers receive ongoing training, while parents are invited to participate in seminars and family activities, reinforcing shared values at home.
Through this integrated approach, our school not only teaches knowledge but also nurtures respect, responsibility, and patriotism. By combining structured curriculum, experiential learning, and community collaboration, we ensure that students grow into law-abiding citizens who actively safeguard national security and uphold the spirit of "One Country, Two Systems."
